The body of missing California teen Kiely Rodni has been found, according to a volunteer dive team helping the search.
The 16-year-old disappeared on Aug. 6 after attending a “senior send-off” party north of Lake Tahoe in northern California, which is very close to the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee.
The dive team, Adventures with Purpose, stated that a vehicle with Rodni’s body inside was found upside down in 14 ft of water in Prosser Lake, only a few hundred yards from the campground. The Police have not confirmed that Kiely Rodni’s body has been found.
The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office plans to keep a news convention Monday at 11 a.m. at the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District to provide an update on the investigation.
Rodin’s mom said, There doesn’t seem to be anybody I come across who doesn’t simply love her,” “She was so smart. She’s so funny. She’s wonderful with little kids.
Rodni-Nieman also reflected on the last text she received from her daughter.
“It was 11:30 at night, and she said that she was going to make plans on leaving about 12:15 and would be coming home. I instructed her to be cautious and wake me up when she got home, and she said, ‘OK, Mom. And she told me that she loved me.

Rodni-Nieman stated she has no cause to doubt that her daughter sent the text message and that it was a message she had received repeatedly from her.
“She was usually checking. She was usually letting me know where she was when she was leaving, where she was going next,” she stated in the Aug. 11 interview.
Rodni-Nieman stated she had woken up at around 8 a.m. on Aug. 6 and found out her daughter had not woken her up when she got home.
“I got up and checked out the driveway, and her vehicle wasn’t there. I checked out her room, and she wasn’t there. I grabbed my phone and searched for her location that she usually shared with me, and the last update it had was from the party site at about midnight,” she stated.
From there, Rodni-Nieman reached out to Kiely’s close friend to check if she was there. Once she observed that she was not together with her friend, panic set in.
Kiely’s dad, Daniel Rodni says the last couple of weeks has been complete agony.
“Every day is a roller coaster. Emotions are out of control,” he said.
