The L.A. native rapper, Ty Dolla $ign turns to music to share his support to the world. As some celebrities donate money to Black Lives Matter cause, and others join the protestors in the street, Ty Dolla $ign has recorded a powerful song titled “You See It,” which was dedicated to George Floyd and other Black Americans who have lost their lives to police brutality and injustice.
“I know you see it / My people dying in the streets / They ain’t breathing,” sings Dolla $ign. “I know you heard about it / You know the issues, but the problems you ain’t speaking.”
He also demanded change before more lives are lost. “How many more of my brothers / Do I gotta lose till I see change?” he asks. “I know you see it, but we need to change.”
Ty recorded the passionate track on Monday night with Skrillex, Ant Clemons, and Nia Miranda. “Shits been happening for far too long now,” said Dolla $ign, who is working on his new album “Tyrone.” “It’s time for a change, and we demand it!”
YG also released his own protest anthem called “FTP (F**k the Police)” earlier yesterday in response to the police brutality in America.
Protests continue across different states in the US following the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who was killed by a white police officer last week.
