It is now official that Snoop Dogg has dived into the wine business after the rapper had struck a multi-year partnership with Australian wine brand 19 Crimes, who has Treasury Wine Estates as their parent company.

The new product which will launch in the summer is called “Snoop Cali Red.” Then according to The Drink Business, it is a blend of 65 percent petite syrah, 30 percent zinfandel, and 5 percent merlot. When released in the summer, the drink will go for $12 a bottle.

Reports from press release have it that the name 19 Crimes is inspired by “the convicts turned colonists that built Australia.” Snoop Dogg, on the other hand, said he’s eager to share his wine with consumers as well as personal supporters.

“I’ve been a fan of this wine, and I’m excited to unveil my ‘Snoop Cali Red’ this summer and share the experience with all my fans,” said Snoop in a statement.

Vice president of Treasury Wine marketing, John Wardley, in his statement also, praised the veteran rapper as an ideal person to team up with.

“Snoop Dogg, an entertainment and California icon, is the perfect partner for 19 Crimes’ ‘Snoop Cali Red’,” Wardley said. “Snoop embodies the spirit of 19 Crimes rule-breaking culture, creating and overcoming adversity. We are truly excited to partner with Snoop and welcome him to the 19 Crimes family.”

Maybe, Snoop already knows long before now that he would someday go into win business. Back in 1994, the iconic rapper had released a single titled “Gin and Juice,” and recently, people have been playing the song a lot after a remix of it practically went viral!
