Former Lakers Star, Shannon Brown Arrested and Charged After Shooting At Two Intruders in His Home

Former Lakers Star, Shannon Brown, who is also the ex-husband of Monica Denise, has been arrested earlier this week after an odd incident, which resulted in him firing rile at two people who entered his home in Georgia. Although the details of the incident are still gloomy, according to initial reports from The Citizen, Tyrone Police Department spokesman Philip Nelson said a man and woman who said they were looking for an apartment for sale at approximately 6 pm stopped over at home in River Oaks subdivision off Ga. Highway 74. According to the report, the home allegedly has a for sale sign outside which the couple was thinking could be their final destination.

Additionally, the couple informed the officers that the gate to the property was open, the same as the front door. Meanwhile, the couple allegedly reveals that they announced their presence as they reached the home while someone inside the building asked them to “Come in.”

They [the couple] also told the police that at some point, Shannon Brown came out with his rifle. The couple allegedly tells the police that the athlete released five or six rounds of the rifle in their direction as they were leaving from the property. Later on, they went to report the incident to the police at about 9:45 pm and Shannon Brown was arrested.

On the other hand, Shannon told the officers that he thought the couple was intruding in his residence. According to Philip Nelson, the region’s Police spokesman, officers found one empty shell casing at the scene. Moreover, TMZ reported that the athlete was released on bond from jail on May 4.
