Garfield Balfour grabs a chocolate bar from below his bus’s wheel.

This horrifying incident occurred when a bus driver reached under the wheel to get a candy bar and ran over an elderly.

Two days after the horrifying collision in London, 88-year-old pedestrian Arthur Gowrie passed away while attempting to manoeuvre his shopping cart across traffic.

In Southwark, London, he bends down to open the treat but instead ends up running over Arthur Gowrie.

The bus’s 50-year-old driver, Garfield Balfour, is shown distractedly rummaging in his vehicle for the treat while edging through traffic without holding the steering wheel with both hands.

In Southwark’s Walworth Road, he knocked the elderly man over, severely injuring Arthur.

In the disturbing CCTV footage displayed at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday, Mr Gowrie was seen approaching the road on August 2, 2019.

The older adult, on his way home at about 4 o’clock, looks left and right before stepping out into the road while holding a walking stick.

At 4.11 p.m., he allegedly passes into a blind zone in front of the bus.
Unsettling video taken from the bus cab reveals Balfour reaching for his chocolate while distracted.

Additionally, he can be seen with sunglasses.
Balfour, though, drives on without placing his hands on the wheel while he looks down at the chocolate bar to open it.
