The celebrity couple is calling it quits following the reports that Cardi B filed for divorce from her husband Offset after three years together. Cardi cited in her petition that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for reconciliation.” According to PEOPLE, the marriage had fallen apart as a result of the Migos rapper being unfaithful again.
This means it’s not the first time Offset had faced accusations of infidelity to Cardi B. The last time was in December 2018, when Cardi announced that the couple was separating after Offset was accused of cheating on his wife with another woman.
“When me and my husband got into our issues–you know, he cheated and everything–and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me,” Cardi told Vogue in January. “But it’s real-life shit. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you’re depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you’re not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation.”
Cardi B and Offset later reconciled after the husband admitted to his infidelity and pleaded with his wife for forgiveness. “I made my wife look crazy,” Offset told “The Breakfast Club” in February 2019. “So I take the punishment, I take them not liking me. I take that, I deserve that.”
Meanwhile, Cardi also explained while she took Offset back on the interview with Vogue. “Everybody has issues. I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it’s really us against the world.”
The rapper added, “He has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, you’re betraying the person that has your back the most. Why would you do that? We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way. I’ll beat your ass if you cheat on me.”

They share a 2-year-old daughter, Kulture, and it is just days before their third wedding anniversary, Sept. 20, prior to the divorce filing.
Moreover, TMZ report that Cardi B is seeking primary physical and legal custody of their daughter Kulture. On the other hand, she also wants Offset to pay child support and cover her legal expenses. Cardi is also demanding for “an equitable division of all marital assets,” which shows there is no prenup.
Cardi B and Offset are due in court on November 4th.
