Police Arrest Teen For Shooting Washington Commanders Player Brian Robinson Jr.

According to Washington D.C., police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, a 17-year-old suspect has been arrested for the attempted armed robbery and carjacking of Washington Commander running back Brian Robinson Jr. in August.
During the attempted robbery, Robinson was shot twice in the leg.

Robinson was not targeted, according to authorities.

Police Chief Robert Contee told reporters that the arrest was made possible thanks to community tips.
Police are asking for assistance in locating two other people connected to this case.

“This arrest was the result of hard work and dedication to the mission of combating violent crime,” said ATF Assistant Special Agent in Charge Christopher C. Amon on Wednesday.
Robinson was in Washington on Aug. 28 when he was approached by two juveniles who attempted to steal his car, prompting a struggle, according to police at the time.

In April, Robinson was selected from Alabama in the third round of the 2022 draft.
He returned to the field for the first time since sustaining an injury in October.
