A recent report claims that Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset because the Migos rapper is expecting a baby with another woman. But that’s a made-up story. Page Six has reported that a source close to Cardi has told them that the rumor of an extramarital affair is “super false.”
“There is no other child. No baby is on the way. That rumor is super false. Cardi is thinking of her child and wants everything to be amicable. She’s evolved over the years and continues to,” the insider said.
Although PEOPLE reports that the marriage broke down because Offset was once again unfaithful to his wife, but there was no mention of him fathering another child.
Moreover, Offset is a father of four children, including Kulture, his 2-year-old daughter with Cardi B.
Initially, Cardi filed paperwork requesting primary physical custody of Kulture, but she later amended the divorce documents to ask for joint custody. And understands not to seek spousal or child support from Offset either.
“She went back to have the petition amended because she wasn’t aware that it read ‘primary custody,” Page Six learned from the source. “She wants them both to have custody and to co-parent. She’s not requesting spousal support or child support. She wants everything to be super amicable.”
On Tuesday, the “WAP” rapper filed for divorce from her husband Offset after 3 years, citing the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for reconciliation.”
At the moment, neither Cardi nor Offset have directly commented on their divorce, but Offset alluded to new beginnings.
