Kobe and Vanessa‘s oldest child, Natalia Bryant, has been given legal protection from a person she claims poses a serious threat to her safety.
On Wednesday, when Natalia appeared in court in Los Angeles, she powerfully testified about actions she believes 32-year-old Dwayne Kemp has taken recently to put her in danger.
Despite not knowing Dwayne Kemp, Natalia testified over the phone during the hearing that she is terrified of what he is capable of and anxious that he might appear at any time. She referred to his behaviour as “unsettling,” and she claimed that at one point he even got in touch with Natalia’s eyebrow stylist and offered to pay for the work she had done.
According to Natalia’s attorney Nick Sanchez, the judge was persuaded that Kemp poses a threat that justifies a three-year order of protection. Kemp now has to continue to keep at least 200 yards away from Natalia Bryant, her home, her job, her car, school, and the USC sorority house, just as the temporary restraining order mandated.
The 19-year-old claimed he had been stalking her and was convinced they were dating when he received the TRO last month, according to TMZ. She claims he first got in touch with her two years ago when she was just 17 years old.
In accordance with the new 3-year order, Kemp is prohibited from owning or acquiring any firearms, and he has 24 hours to turn in any weapons he currently possesses.
In the documents, Natalia Bryant claimed Kemp is a gun enthusiast who has been arrested and/or convicted of at least 4 crimes, one of which involved firearms. Her filing included social media images of Kemp holding guns.
