Megan Thee Stallion has made it a point of duty to be keeping the spirit of her deceased mother alive by always remembering her. On Saturday, once again, she had taken to Instagram to share a perfect message in honor of her late mother’s birthday. In the post, she shares a throwback photo of her mother, Holly Thomas, carrying her when she was a baby. While in the caption, she penned down a grateful message to her mother for all the support she gave her throughout her life time.
“Happy birthday, mama,” Megan Thee Stallion began. “I miss you every day! I know you’re watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going. I don’t have you physically here telling me what I should do so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own remembering all the advice and lessons you’ve taught me before. You are such a strong woman, and I promise to make you proud and be one too! We love you, Holly!”

The rapper also shared a video of her and Holly Thomas from more recently, where Megan was surprised at her mother for being able to play the piano.
“I was shook I didn’t even know my mom could play the piano!” Megan Thee Stallion said in the caption. “She was always teaching us something!”
Meanwhile, Holly Thomas, Megan’s mother had died in March of 2019 following complications from brain cancer.
Although her mom is no more, Megan Thee Stallion had revealed she is working hard to continue on that same path that she left her with.
“I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud,” the Houston native told People Magazine in a recent interview. “She saw me going to school before she passed … I literally watched my mom and my grandmother get up and go to work every single day. My big mama owned three houses in South Park [Houston]. She was going hard, working to provide for our family, so I’ve always seen her drive.”
