Winner of the day is Kevin Hart, who reportedly has the $60 million lawsuits targeted around his 2017 sex tape scandal overturned by a federal judge.

From reports obtained by The Blast, a California judge has ordered “all claims” against Hart in the suit that was filed by Montia Sabbag to be dismissed. The jury argued that the suit was “brought in the wrong venue.” The judgment has come after Sabbag refiled in California following initial dismissal of the case by another lawyer without prejudice last year.

“MS. SABBAG had no knowledge that the intimate activity depicted in the VIDEO was being recorded,” Sabbag’s legal team argued in the original complaint, as cited in Tuesday’s report. “To the contrary, MS. SABBAG believed that such activity was completely private, and she had a reasonable expectation of her privacy in HART’S private bedroom suite at the COSMOPOLITAN, and she reasonably believed that her privacy was safe and protected at all relevant times.”

Meanwhile, Sabbag, in the suit, had alleged that Hart and Jackson “conspired in leaking the tape” as a promotional drive for the comedian. On the other hand, Kevin Hart had long argued that Montia Sabbag had never properly served him with related legal documents. He insisted that a server had simply tossed a set of papers “out of a car window” and it was right in the sight of one of his security guards outside his house.

Therefore, since it is the second time the case is being dismissed, it is likely that Kevin Hart has been cleared. But we just have to wait to see what happens next, whether the case would be called up again.
