Kanye West on Friday, announced a longterm partnership with Gap. A part of the 10-year-deal will see Kanye design a line of clothing for men, women, and kids that will be sold at the retailer in 2021.

Prior to the announcement, Kanye West’s Yeezy brand is known for its popularity with the fashion crowd but often comes at high price points. However, the “Yeezy Gap” partnership will allow West’s designs to be available to a larger audience even at a lower cost.

“Under West’s creative direction, the YEEZY design studio will develop the new line to deliver modern, elevated basics for men, women, and kids at accessible price points, with the creative process just getting underway,” read a press release. “Additionally, West’s design vision will extend to unique YEEZY Gap expressions in Gap stores and digital channels over time.”

Meanwhile, West has celebrated the partnership with the hashtag #WestDayEver and shared an image of the Yeezy Gap logo with the letters “YZY” inside Gap’s popular navy blue box. He then teased the first photo of the collaboration featuring bright-colored hoodies, jackets, and T-shirts.

It genuinely marks a “full circle’ moment for Kanye West, who worked at Gap as a teenager in Chicago. “We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his YEEZY brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership,” Mark Breitbard, Global Head of Gap Brand, said in the press release.

Back in 2015, Kanye West told Style.com that he wanted to be a creative director for Gap. “One of my dreams was to be the head creative director of the Gap,” he said then. “I’d like to be the Steve Jobs of the Gap … [I want] full Hedi Slimane creative control of the Gap.”

Additionally, West announced other endeavors alongside Gap partnership, which include a Kids See Ghosts animated show with Kid Cudi, directed by Takashi Murakami. On the other hand, he is still working on the long-awaited version of Jesus Is King with Dr. Dre and plans to release his James Turrell film Jesus Is King on Apple.
