After giving his fans an update about his health condition, he went further to state that the doctor says that he and his wife will be immune to the virus for a period of time, seeing as their systems fought the virus.Idris Elba and his wife are both positive for COVID-19, as according to Idris , he was not experiencing any symptoms prior to the diagnosis. Nevertheless, despite being confirmed positive, Idris Elba states that he and his wife are in perfect condition.

With regards to the claims that he will become immune to the virus when cured, it is perfectly true, as confirmed by experts. According to the FDA, it has approved the use of plasma from recovering patients to treat some of the severe cases of the virus. As a matter of fact, New York has become the first state to start the testing procedures.
Though the immunity against the virus is short-lived, however, experets have suggested that contracting it for the second time will be much milder with regards to the symptoms, than the first time.
