Since it has now been revealed that he lied about his mother dying in the 9/11 attacks, congressman-elect George Santos would not know the truth if it slapped him in the face.
Santos answered, “9/11 claimed my mother’s life, so I’m blocking so I never have to read this again,” in response to a post last year on the absurd 9/11 conspiracy idea that it was a victimless crime.
The point is, five months after publishing that, he wrote: “December 23rd this year marks 5 years I lost my best friend and mentor … Mom you will live forever in my heart.”
Thus, he claims in his most recent tweet that his mother passed away in 2016—15 years after the attack.
On his campaign website, Santos stated that his mother had been in the South Tower on September 11, adding that she had survived but had died “a few years later” from cancer. But fifteen years?
The most recent in a line of fundamental lies told by Santos include the claim that he attended Baruch and NYU for college although there is no record of him there.
Similar to his assertions that he worked for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. Of course, he also made up being Jewish and claimed he was Jewish to justify it.
The point is, he will be sworn into office as a member of Congress the following month.
