The perpetrator of the deadly shooting at an LGBTQ+ bar in Colorado Springs has not yet revealed their motives, but if it was homophobia as many believe, then the apple may not have fallen far from the tree.

The first thing Aaron Brink said after learning that his son had killed five Club Q customers was… “I was scared. Oh my gosh, s***, is he homosexual? He is not gay, either.” Brink, exhaling in relief, informed a reporter.

Brink added, “I’m a Mormon. I’m a conservative Republican and I don’t do gay. I don’t do gay. We don’t do gay.”

Although Anderson Lee Aldrich claims they are nonbinary, not everyone agrees. Many friends have admitted they never even dared to indicate they were involved before the murders. Some people think they’re stating this to escape being charged with murder and other felonies, as well as hate crimes.

The porn star Brink, also known as Dick Delaware, did express regret for what his son had done.

“There’s no excuse for going and killing people. If you’re killing people, there’s something wrong. It’s not the answer.” he went on to say, “I’m so sorry for your loss.”

It’s unknown when the two split up, but according to Brink, Aldrich changed his name when he started working in the porn industry. Additionally, he claimed that his ex-wife Aldrich misled him about her 2016 suicide.

Five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of a crime motivated by bigotry that resulted in bodily harm have been brought against Aldrich. They made their first appearance in court on Wednesday, their faces beat and scarred from the beating they took from brave bystanders who disarmed and detained them.
