According to reports by WHIO, the shooting took place at about 11 a.m ET Wednesday, 12, 2020, close to Yellow Springs, Ohio, the resident of Dave Chappelle. He lives there with family on 39 acres of farmland.

After the law enforcement authorities confirmed the incident, which resulted in multiple deaths, rumors spread that the shooting affected Chappelle’s home and that he was involved.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Green County Sheriff and the representative of Dave Chappelle have confirmed that the comedian was not in any way connected to the shooting that occurred in Midwest.

In a statement by the comedian’s representative to New York Post, “It did not happen at Dave’s home. He’s fine,” she went on to disclose that the comedian was still in London at the time of the incident.

The Ohio authorities have confirmed the death of a male and female in the shooting. They are yet to release the names of the victims nor state the motive of the gunshots. But speculations are that the gunman confronted the homeowners after they pulled on their driveway.

WDTN reported that the male homeowner has an exchange of gunfire with the suspect when a woman, ex-wife of the homeowner, pulled up and started shooting as well. On arrival of the police, they found two dead bodies in the driveway, a man and woman.

As at this time, the shooting is still under investigation.
