NFL star, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, was arrested last week for driving under influence (DUI), as he was driving on top speed while he was drunk and high. According to the police report, he did not also install the ignition interlock device in his car, which was a court order from his previous DUI charge.
According to a Gig Harbor police officer, Austin Seferian-Jenkins was driving erratically and changing directions abruptly n his 2016 Dodge Charger, and almost swerved into a wrong-way offramp. According to the officer, the NFL star was speeding at a 48 M/H, in a 30, on Gig Harbor, Wash.
When the officer approached him, after he had been pulled over, the NFL star claimed he was rushing to McDonald for a last-minute bite. However, the officer noticed that he smelled of alcohol and burnt weed, and his eyes were red and bloodshot. When Austin was asked to come out of his car, he kept moving in circles while standing at a place.
The officer decided to arrest him when he refused to take the field sobriety test. Seferian-Jenkins was at the end charged with the following: 1 count of DUI; 1 count of driving with a suspended license; and 1 count of operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device. The purpose of the Ignition Interlock Device helps to run a test on the driver’s breath for alcohol before they can start the vehicle.
