Despite rumours that the “GMA3” anchors are leaving, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach‘s potential replacements have not yet caught ABC’s attention.
According to network insiders, the priority right now is finishing up a thorough investigation into whether or not T.J. and Amy’s relationship broke any rules set forth by the organization. They are also investigating any more claims that Holmes had relationships with people while working at “GMA,” including one with an intern.
DeMarco Morgan, who has been working at the “GMA 3” desk while T.J. and Amy are away, has been mentioned in some reports as having already been chosen to take Holmes’ place permanently. However, according to our network sources, this isn’t the case, and he isn’t currently being “tested” to do so.
The same can be said for Stephanie Ramos, Gio Benitez, and Rhiannon Ally, who have all manned the anchor desk for the show while Amy and T.J. were away.
According to what we’ve been informed, if and when ABC looks to replace positions, it will happen after the inquiry is finished and Amy and T.J.’s futures have been decided.
In recent weeks, T.J. and Amy both hired attorneys—Amy with Andrew Brettler and Holmes with Eric George—in preparation for potential legal action against ABC.
We are informed that the anchors’ attorneys are prepared to file a lawsuit if they are terminated and bring up the topic of race, asking the network, “Has ABC ever used the morals or conduct clause to fire or penalize 2 consenting adults at equal levels when both were white?”
Of course, after being taken off the air, we’ve seen T.J. and Amy out and about going about their daily lives as a pair. They even spent the holidays together and even hung out the day before he filed for divorce from his estranged wife.
