According to the Uganda Red Cross, a Landslide caused by heavy rain in a remote part of southwestern Uganda has killed at least 15 people.
According to the group, most victims are “mothers and children,” and the landslide in the hilly district of Kasese is a disaster.
During the rainy season, Kasese, near the Congo border, is prone to deadly mudslides.
Ugandan police and other authorities did not respond immediately.
