Tamar Braxton’s boyfriend, on Tuesday, filed a restraining order in L.A. asking for protection against her in what he describes as a domestic violence situation.
According to TMZ, Tamar’s boyfriend, David Adefeso, is asking a judge to permit him an order against the 43-year-old singer-reality star. But what is unclear is what David is alleging she might have done.
Although the court is yet to approve his request, it’s a possible sign that their relationship is hitting the rock bottom recently.
David, who called 911 after finding Tamar “unresponsive” at The Ritz-Carton Residences downtown Los Angeles after an apparent suicide attempt, told the cops she might have overdosed on pills and alcohol.
Tamar Braxton had reportedly been frustrated with how she was being portrayed on her upcoming WE tv reality show “Get Ya Life!”
Following her hospitalization, the 43-year old singer opened up for the first time since attempting to take her life. “My cry for help went totally ignored,” she wrote. “It was witnessing the slow death of the woman I became, that discouraged my will to fight. I felt like I was no longer living, I was existing for the purpose of a corporations gain and ratings, and that killed me.”
After Tamar’s split with her husband Vincent Herbert in the summer of 2018, she started dating David, a Nigerian wealth manager. “He’s so smart. I’m so proud of him,” Tamar Braxton told Wendy Williams about David in September 2018. “He’s so amazing, he’s so kind, and he’s saved.”
Meanwhile, family sources reportedly told TMZ that Tamar has changed since she started dating David, and “her mood seems to align with his.” Reports say that David has been heavily involved in Tamar’s reality show, as well as her business decisions.
