After fainting on the stage Friday night, D.L. Hughley is recovering right now. The comedian slumped on stage in the middle of his standup routine, leaving fans gasping.
In honor of the Juneteenth memorial celebration, the 57-year-old comedian and media personality was reported in Nashville, Tennessee, at a comedy club called Zanies. One fan at the show shared a clip from the night where D.L. Hughley was sitting on a stool on the stage. He began speaking unintelligibly, causing confusion among the crowd. Immediately, a man, who seemingly was alerted by his weird speech, reached to the stage to catch Hughley before he fainted.

According to TMZ, D.L. is going to be alright. His reps also confirmed that he has been hospitalized for exhaustion.
“[D.L.] was suffering from exhaustion after all the week’s work and travel, and was kept overnight at the hospital for tests under doctor’s orders. He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayer and thoughts.”
