Snoop Dogg, in a strongly-worded PSA, shared on his Instagram page, lashed out at the NFL owners for staying silent on the institutionalized racism in the league. Likewise, the nationwide protests against police brutality surrounding the death of George Floyd and other unarmed black citizens.
“Has anybody seen any NFL owners since all this been going down?” Snoop asked his 46 million followers. “NFL owners, the owners of the teams, the 32 owners, the ones that won’t give Colin Kaepernick a job, the ones that won’t give a black man a general manager job, the ones who won’t allow another black man to own a team.”
“Where the f**k are the NFL owners at? Where y’all at? Y’all make all that f**kin’ money and don’t have shit to say when this type of shit happens,” the rap icon continued.
Furthermore, he criticized the NFL owners for blackballing Colin Kaepernick from the league. “But you wanna ban Colin Kaepernick, don’t wanna give him a job, blackball him,” Snoop added. “NFL owners, y’all better get your shit right before the spotlight becomes on y’all. And we start realizing that y’all real racist too. I like NFL, but if y’all not gon’ be right, f**k y’all.”
Despite a video released earlier this month revealing that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell admitted the league was wrong for “not listening to NFL players earlier,” many criticized his response as disingenuous following its handling of Kaepernick’s kneeling protests.
“We, the National Football League, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of black people,” Goodell said. “We, the National Football League, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest. We, the National Football League, believe black lives matter.”

NFL players including San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman have also called out the league’s owners for staying mute. “It’s not pulling [the owners] like it is the rest of the country,” Sherman told the San Francisco Chronicle. “Because if it was, then they’d speak. [Dallas Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, especially, has no problem speaking up any other time about anything else. But when it’s such a serious issue, and he could really make a huge impact on it with a few words, his silence speaks volumes.”
Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, remains outspoken on social media. He equally called the NCCA “foul” for imposing a 10-year ban disassociating Reggie Bush with USC and demanded that they return his Heisman Trophy. “Reggie Bush deserves the Heisman. He won that motherfu**er on the field,” the Doggy father said.
