Meanwhile, the Compton MC, who is 21 years old, was nominated for three Grammys this year, including two for “Racks in the Middle.”

While speaking with Rap-Up, he recalled how Nipsey Hussle impacted him and his community. “He was more than just another rapper to me. He was one of the young motivational role models in the city,” Roddy Ricch said. “He really had a positive connection with young people. It wasn’t always about being the toughest or trying to prove yourself or be something you wasn’t. It was more so about being who you were and always having a strong mentality in whatever you wanted to do as far as your ventures.”

After topping the Billboard Hot 100 for 11 weeks with “The Box,” we can say Roddy is in one of the best moments of his career. The rapper is pushing to release a video for “High Fashion,” the Mustard-produced single of his debut “Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial.

Also, his “Rockstar” collaboration with DaBaby is equally a top 10 hit already. Currently, the song sits at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
