Sports journalist, Jason Whitlock got pierced online by members of the black community for condemning LeBron James after he tweeted about Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed Brunswick, Georgia, Black man who was running through a local when he was pursued somewhere around a white dad-child team and shot to death in the city in February. The two men have not been captured or charged for the killing.
LeBron James said the killing is a case of how regular daily existence can be incredibly risky for Black individuals. Film of the executing surfaced not long ago, to national shock. LeBron James tweeted saying “We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes! Can’t even go for a damn jog man! Like WTF man are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!? No man fr ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! I’m sorry Ahmaud(Rest In Paradise) and my prayers and blessings sent to the heavens above to your family!!🙏🏾✊🏾❤️ #StayWoke #ProfiledCauseWeAreSimplyBlack😢😢.”
However, Jason Whitlock, a feature writer and co-host of FS1’s “Speak for Yourself,” show tweeted his dissatisfaction with James soon a short time later and blamed him for attempting to isolate himself from Michael Jordan, who has been for some time blamed for staying quiet on political and social issues including Black individuals, something that was raised in ESPN’s docuseries “The Last Dance.”

Whitlock took to twitter to tweet saying, “This isn’t helpful. It’s twitter trolling. It’s using this man’s tragedy to build a brand as more outspoken than legendary Michael Jordan. There are all kinds of ways to draw attention to this tragedy. Suggesting that we are hunted everyday/every time is just sh*t-stirring.”
This comment has earned the sports journalist more spiteful attacks via comments, as members of the black community stood strongly by LeBron James.
