Elon Musk Just Nuked Prominent Journalists Who Cover Him Without Warning

Without prior notice or justification, Twitter suspended a number of well-known journalists on Thursday night.

Reporters from major news organizations like The New York Times, Washington Post, and CNN, as well as independent journalists and people who work for Mashable and The Intercept, have had their Twitter accounts suspended by Elon Musk.

Donie O’Sullivan from CNN, Drew Harwell from WaPo, Matt Binder from Mashable, Ryan Mac from the NYT, Micah Lee from The Intercept, along with Keith Olbermann and Aaron Rupar, are among those who are no longer able to tweet about Elon.

Many people who have been fired have been writing and tweeting negative things about Elon, but the truth is that Musk owns Twitter and is free to run his private company however he pleases.

Musk said the suspensions would only last a week in one response. After informing his Twitter followers that the account suspension was “permanent,” he later tweeted a poll asking them to decide what would happen to the banned journalists.
