The Hip-Hop world cannot help but mourn the unfortunate death of the rising star, Chynna Rogers. Her reps have confirmed that that the rapper passed away at the age of 25 – so painful and heartbreaking!!!
“I can regrettably confirm Chynna passed away,” her manager John Miller told Stereogum through email. He equally added what the family said, that “Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.”
Meanwhile, a statement from her management team at True Panther also read: “Rest In Peace Chynna. Heartbroken. All the love to those she left behind. Goodbye, angel.”
At the moment, the cause of Chynna’s death is yet to revealed.
Before her rap career kicked off, Chynna did catalog work for Ford Models for three years and walked runway shows after she was signed at the age of 14 as a teen. Later, she would go on to release tracks that include 2013 viral hit “Selfie” and 2014’s “Glen Coco.”
Previously Billboard reported that Chynna had talked openly about her fight with substance abuse before her passing, and also addressed her addiction on the 2016 mixtape, Ninety. Understandably, Chynna got over those challenges as she told VIBE in 2018 that she “didn’t want to be a statistic.”
On Tuesday, shared a video on Instagram where she said “I think there’s too many soundtracks to our lives. I need music to die to.” It appeared to be her final post on the platform before her death.
Among those paying tribute to Chynna are her celeb friends and A$AP Mob due to her close relationship with the late A$AP Mob found A$AP Yams.
