After attempting to break into a house in DeKalb County on Friday, a gunshot resulted in the death of an 18-year-old and the injury of three other people, according to authorities.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, when police arrived at the scene at about 5 p.m., they discovered three victims who had been shot: a 23-year-old, an 18-year-old, and a 15-year-old.

They were all brought to a hospital. Later, a 30-year-old suspect showed up in the hospital. Taneaious McCune, one of the injured suspects, passed away.

According to the police, at least four persons were present inside the house when it was broken into. A man and one of the suspects engaged in gunfire. Authorities claim that no charges are anticipated because the shooting seemed to be lawful.

“Our initial investigation indicates this was a targeted incident and not a random act,” police told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The four subjects … attempted a home invasion.”

Three injured suspects have been taken into custody.
