A former elder in a Kansas City, Missouri, the church was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday for the murder of his wife, an associate pastor.
Robert Lee Harris was sentenced after being found guilty in August of first-degree murder in the death of Tanisha Harris, 38.
On Jan. 8, 2018, police were called to the couple’s apartment in Overland Park, Kansas, to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officers arrived at the apartment and discovered Robert Harris alone. When he reported his wife missing, they returned. Her body was later discovered near Raymore, Missouri.
The couple, who had only been married for 18 months at the time of the killing, were members of Repairers Kansas City.
