Despite the shocking announcement that he tested positive for coronavirus, Idris Elba is trying his best to carry his fans along on his quarantine journey by giving social media updates while he’s in isolation.
Moreover, it seems like the actor is equally battling with boredom as he released a song with an accompanying music video he titled, “The Long Road 2.” In the lyrics of the song, he was talking about his COVID-19 diagnosis and emphasized the illness being real, unlike his acting day job, which is not.
He posted a snippet of the music video on Twitter with the caption: “Passing the time. Thank you for all your support and encouragement right now. Means a lot. Creating is my therapy… I think I’m driving Sab crazy though… Hope you guys are good.”

However, it’s unfortunate that Idris is not the only person that tests positive for coronavirus in his household for now. Just a week after his test result returned positive, his wife, Sabrina Dhowre-Elba has confirmed she tested positive for the virus too.
Following her skeptical attitude to quarantine together with Idris, Sabrina defended herself in a new interview with Oprah Winfrey, merely saying: “I wanted to be with him,” adding that she felt ‘the instinct of a wife’ to take care of him.”
Meanwhile, it was on the interview, which went down on Winfrey’s new Apple TV+ series ‘Oprah Talks’ that the couple revealed being quarantined together in New Mexico, where Elba’s latest film was in production. Dhowre-Elba also told about her testing positive for coronavirus.
She told the host on FaceTime: “Actually, I found out this morning, Oprah, that I tested positive.” She was equally sentimental about being asymptomatic, saying: “I don’t feel anything that would come to what people would now expect to be a symptom of coronavirus, which is really strange.” “It might change in the coming weeks, and we’ll keep everyone updated,” she concluded.
