Wendy’s Fired Worker With Down Syndrome Will Be Police Officer For A Day

Dennis Peek, a Down syndrome employee, just fired from Wendy’s, will fulfil a lifetime desire by becoming a police officer.

Cona Young Turner, his sister, claims that Dennis knows a number of the Mount Holly, North Carolina, police officers and that when they witnessed what happened to him at Wendy’s, the police department chose to hire him for a day on the job.

In case you missed it, Dennis’s story went viral after he was let go from the fast food business last week after 20 years of service. Cona stated that supervisors told her Dennis couldn’t perform his duties in a “regular” manner.

Dennis doesn’t Know he was fired; his family chose to inform him that he is merely retiring.
