The Brooklyn Nets announced that four of her players have tested positive for COVID-19 pandemic, which is amounts to 1/3 of the team’s roster. However, the team has decided to maintain an anonymous position regarding the identities of the players.Prior to this case, only three NBA players had tested positive to COVID-19, and they include Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz and Christian Wood of the Detroit Pistons.According to Brooklyn Nets, out of the four players who have tested positive, only one player is showing symptoms of the pandemic, as the other players are asymptomatic. The team also stated that all the four players are currently isolated and are under the care of doctors and Specialists of the team.The team further announced that anyone who has had contact or knows anyone who may have had contacts with the players, including their recent opponents (the L.A Lakers) should take appropriate measures as stipulated by the authorities.
On the other hand, Kevin Durant has tested that he is feeling fine, but adds, “Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We’re going to get through this.”We wish him and the rest of the team a quick recovery from this pandemic.
