Heartbroken Girlfriend Of Fatally Stabbed 15-Yr-Old Boy Says ‘He Was The Best Person She knew.

A boy regarded as a “great student” was stabbed to death outside his school only seconds after texting his girlfriend one last time.

On Wednesday, Khayri McLean, 15, was stabbed as he went home from North Huddersfield Trust School in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

He was found lying in a pool of blood and was flown by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary’s trauma centre, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

A 16-year-old was detained two miles away in the early hours of Thursday morning when armed cops raided his family’s house around 5 a.m.

Police said that a second adolescent had been detained this afternoon in connection with the killing.

Shyana James, Khayri’s girlfriend, said she was conversing with him on Snapchat seconds before he died, and he even gave her a snapshot of the site where he was stabbed.

‘He was the finest guy ever,’ she added while being consoled by her mother near the murder scene. He’d drop everything for you and do anything for anyone.

‘I spoke to him at 2.52 yesterday, and he was saying he’d had a good day and couldn’t wait to see me later.
‘He was going home to get changed; he would come to mine.
‘He was the love of my life. We were talking about our future the other day.

‘He was just the best person I knew.’
On his Instagram page, Khayri wrote about how it was essential to do well at school and get good grades.
He said: ‘T – try to get your good grades. R – good grades make what you want in life, and Y – you wish all your dreams come true.’

Many of the school’s students heading home at the end of the day witnessed the incident and have been left ‘traumatized.’
Young people paying their respects to their mothers stated they observed the occurrence.

Reuben, 12, described what happened as ‘traumatizing,’ while his buddy Alfie, also 12, described Khayri as a very popular child.’
‘I noticed him laying on the floor, and then one of my professors started giving him chest compressions to keep him alive and covering the wound,’ Alfie recalled.

‘He thought it was a normal school day, going to school, and then he came out and got stabbed. He didn’t even get to go home and tell his mum how his day was, and that shouldn’t happen to anyone.’
