Actor Anne Heche has been taken to hospital in a crucial state after a crash that left her vehicle consumed in flames.
The incident happened on Friday morning in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles, close to Heche’s home.
The 53 yr old actor is a one-time partner of the US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and is known for movies including Donnie Brasco, Cedar Rapids and Psycho.
According to the Los Angeles fire department (LAFD).
The car struck a two-storey home and went up in heavy flames.
A woman who was found within the vehicle has been taken to an area hospital by an LAFD paramedic and is in critical condition.
The LAFD also confirmed that the vehicle had driven 30ft into the residence but that the occupant had escaped without injury.
