According to authorities, one individual is still missing after seven others were recovered from the San Gabriel River on Monday.
Just after 6:10 p.m., firemen from Los Angeles County were called to the area of North Todd and West Sierra Madre avenues, close to Encanto Park, in Azusa, where the victims of the surging river had been lost.
Seven individuals were rescued from the chilly water. According to the fire department, they didn’t need to be taken to a hospital.
Before calling off the search, teams spent hours looking for the one person who was still missing.
