Tekashi 6ix9ine reignites his beef with Meek Mill by calling out the rapper for not protesting following the ongoings in the States.
On Friday, the “GOOBA” rapper, who is on home confinement after being released from prison, called out Mill for not protesting instead “capitalizing” by releasing new music. Although he didn’t mention Mill by name, Tekashi referred to the “wanna be Martin Luther King,” who has been nicknamed Meek Mandela on social media.
“If Kanye who is way more famous then all these rappers is outside protesting with the people why is the wanna be Martin Luther King not but has no problem dropping a song during times like this to capitalize [sic],” 6ix9ine wrote in his Instagram post.
Tekashi also added more salt to injury in his caption. “BUT YOU THE VOICE FOR THE STREETS, YOU FUCKIN CLOWN.”
Meanwhile, Meek Mill had earlier in the day released his song, “Otherside of America,” in response to the Black Lives Matter protests across the country. At the moment, it’s unclear whether he has joined protesters on the front lines, but Meek has been vocal on social media.
Mill quickly took to Twitter to respond to 6ix9ine’s criticism saying, “my whole life a protest….. literally!”
Previously, the two artists have had issues after Meek Mill called out Tekashi 6ix9ine for being a “rat” when he returned from prison. “I’m helping free people you putting family members behind bars,” Meek said then. “I gotta crush you for the culture, you chump! How you sleep at night, lol.”
Tekashi didn’t waste time to clap back at Meek Mill, who had welcomed a son just days earlier. “Imagine having a newborn baby come into the world & be pressed about a Mexican with rainbow hair,” he said.
On the other hand, Tekashi 6ix9ine was set to release his new single on Friday, instead, he decided to postpone it for a second time “out of respect for what we are going through right now.”
