Rapper and actor 50 Cent is on the hunt for a nearly $40k owned to him by the Reality star, Teairra Mari.
The court documents obtained by The Blast reveals that 50 Cent has filed a lien against Mari’s assets and property to collect on the sentence she refuses to pay. In the document, it was equally noted that Mari had not paid any of the $30k and sanctions that were leveled on her. Cent, meanwhile, has fired off notices to companies he believes that Mari works with, demanding they hand over any amount owed to her.
Previously in 2018, The Blast also reported that Mari sued 50 Cent and her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad, accusing them of engaging in a plan to “sexually objectify, threaten, intimidate, humiliate, and degrade her.” She then lodged claims that her ex logged into her Instagram account to post a sexually graphic video that featured ejaculate on her face.
She further claimed that 50 Cent reposted the video on his account after she had removed it from her account. In the lawsuit, Cent denied all the allegations, citing that before he could repost the video that it had already gone viral on the internet. The jury sided with Cent and dismissed the claims against him and then awarded 50 Cent $30k in attorney fees.
Now, The Power actor has been making efforts to collect his money ever since being awarded the $30k. During those periods, Mari told the court that she’s broke and could not raise the money.
Following Mari’s comments of being broke, 50 Cent has called BS and tried to seize her $100k “Love $ Hip Hop” paychecks. Also, the court had awarded him an additional $5k after he accused her of not accepting to release her bank records.
50 Cent, in the court documents, claimed, “To date, Mari has failed to pay a single dime to Jackson in satisfaction of the Judgment despite earning over $100,000 this past year. Her previous claims under oath that she is “broke” no longer ring true, and it is more clear than ever that she has no intention of paying her debts.”
As the case is still ongoing, 50 Cent also accused Mari of intentionally concealing her assets to prevent him from seizing them.
