On Sunday morning, the first day of the new year, a 3.8-magnitude earthquake was felt in Jhajjar, Haryana, with tremors also felt in Delhi and the surrounding areas, according to the National Center for Seismology.
No injuries or property damage were reported.
The National Center for Seismology reported: “Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.8, Occurred on 01-01-2023, 01:19:42 IST, Lat: 28.71 and Long: 76.62, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 12km NNW of Jhajjar, Haryana,”
Strong vibrations were felt in Delhi and the neighboring areas earlier in November when an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 rocked Uttarakhand near the Nepalese border.
