After brutally shooting his mother in Wisconsin, a 10-year-old boy has been charged as an adult with first-degree reckless homicide, claiming he was angry that she wouldn’t allow him to purchase a virtual reality headset on Amazon.
On November 21 at 6:50 in the morning, a shooting took place in Milwaukee’s 7400 block of North 87th Street.
According to the criminal complaint, the youngster purchased an Oculus Virtual Reality Headset on his deceased mother’s Amazon account just one day later and even questioned his grandma about the status of his package.
His mother, Quiana Mann, 44, was shot at close range. According to the criminal complaint, the bullet pierced her right eye before exiting her head through her skull towards the rear.
According to the complaint, the kid originally told investigators that his mother woke him up at 6 a.m., that he took her revolver out of her bedroom, and proceeded to the basement where she was doing laundry. The lawsuit claimed that the gun “accidentally went off” as he was twisting it around his finger.
According to the complaint, after he killed his mother, he walked to the bedroom on the second floor to wake up his 26-year-old sister, who found their mother dead and dialled 911.
But in later interviews with police, the boy admitted he was not twirling the gun around when he shot his mom, the complaint said.
According to the report, he acknowledged that “his mother would not allow him to have something from Amazon that he wanted to have,” He also acknowledged getting his mother’s keys to her gun lockbox the night before and that he retrieved the gun because he was upset with her for waking him up at 6 a.m. when he typically sleeps until 6:30 a.m., according to the complaint.
According to the allegation, he entered the basement and assumed a firing position. He claimed that his mother crossed in front of him while he attempted to shoot the wall to “scare her,” and he acknowledged that he “shot her in the face when she was approximately three feet away,” to the complaint.
He then reportedly awakened his sister after hiding the gun in the closet of the main room.
The youngster “admitted to knowing that guns are dangerous and can kill people.” according to the complaint.
