Paul Pierce was a guest on the popular “All The Smoke” podcast this week, anchored by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. The Former Boston Celtic Star, Paul Pierce, recounted a deadly incident that occurred in 2000 that nearly cost his life.

According to Paul Pierce, he went to Buzz Club in Boston during his young days and was chatting with a lady, when a guy walked up to him to asked him not to talk to the lady. The next thing he knew, he was already into a fight with the guy, however, others joined the guy and that was how he ended up being stabbed multiple times.
Paul Pierce stated that he has stabbed a total of eight times; thrice in his stomach, and five times in his back, as well as getting hit in the head with a bottle, which ended up warranting him to get plastic surgery.
Pierce went on to state that he was so paranoid after the incident that he carried a gun with him for two years. He stated that he placed 24-hour police surveillance around his home too, and only went to the gym when he had time for his personal affairs.
In 2002 a man named William Ragland was seen as liable of being the instigator in the occurrence and was condemned to 7 to 10 years in jail. Trevor Watson got one year in jail for striking and kicking Pierce, and another man named Anthony Hurston was absolutely vindicated. All the men were accused of attempted murder.
William Ragland, however, has stated he is upset about the episode that occurred, yet at the same time, the individuals that wounded him are out in the city. He apologized to Paul Pierce but also stated that he never laid a hand on Paul Pierce.
