President Joe Biden accused former President Donald Trump and his supporters of promoting an extreme ideology that threatens democracy in uncommon prime-time remarks Thursday as he stepped up attacks on conservatives before the midterm elections.
“Too much of what’s taking place in our united states these days isn’t always normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” Biden stated in the Independence National Historical Park speech in Philadelphia.
He accused so-called “MAGA Republicans,” a connection with Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, of refusing to understand free and honest elections, an increasing number of talking about violence in reaction to movements they don’t like, and of being determined to thwart “the will and the heart of the people.
“Democracy can not live on when one side believes there are best results to an election: either they win, or they had been cheated,” Biden stated in remarks in Philadelphia. The MAGA Republicans have made their own choice. They embraced anger. They believe in chaos. They stay not in the light of truth but enjoy the shadow of lies,” Biden stated.
Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology. I realize that I’ve’ been capable of working with these mainstream Republicans,” Biden stated. “But there’s this belief that the Republican Party these days is dominated, driven and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that may be a threat to this united states.”
“For an extended time, we’ve’ reassured ourselves that American democracy is guaranteed. But it isn’t always. We need to protect it. Protect it. Stand for it. Every one of us,” Biden stated.
President Biden has decided to divide, demean and disparage his fellow Americans ” “Instead of looking for a way to bring our united states together to clear up those challenges, due to the fact they disagree with his policies. That’s not leadership,” McCarthy stated.
“When the president speaks this night at Independence Hall, the first lines out of his mouth should be to make an apology for slandering tens of hundreds of thousands of Americans as ”fascists.
