The U.S Congress has finally passed what it called the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, which officially makes lynching a hate crime. The Act is named after 14-year-old Emmett Till who was killed for his interaction with a white woman, sixty years ago.

Illinois Representative, Bobby Rush is the one who brought the law to the table, after it had suffered 120 years of congressional rejections.
It is expected that 53% of white women’s President Donald Trump will sign the bi that was passed by a vote of 410 to 4.
However, members of the Black community and the citizenry in general have quizzed to know who are the 4 members that voted against the bill, citing them as persons who enthrone.
The names of those members are: Louie Gohmert of Texas, Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Ted Yoho of Florida, who are all Republicans, and Representative Justin Amash of Michigan, who is Independent.
