Dr. Dre was born in February 18, 1965, in Compton, California. He began his career as a member of the World Class Wreckin’ Cru in 1985, but he got into the limeliught with the influential gangsta rap group Niggaz With Attitude (N.W.A), which popularized explicit lyrics in rap to detail the violence of street life.
As an artiste, his debut solo album made him one of the highest selling artistes of 1993, and also earned him a Grammy award.
Dr. Dre went on to win six Grammy Awards, including the Producer of the Year category of the award, in recognition of his music-producing skills.
As an executive, he has helped to bring/build up several big artistes in the industry, like Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, Snopp Dogg, Kendrick Lamar.

As for his investments, Apple purchased Dr. Dre’s headphone line “Beats by Dr. Dre” for $3 billion. He went on to spend $40 million for Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s Los Angeles estate. Dr. Dre is also the CEO of Aftermath Records, which he started in 1996, with prominent acts such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, The Game, having being recuited and groomed by Dr. Dre.
