From a new report, Cardi B’s long-awaited sophomore album is being halted as record deal negotiations continue. HITS Daily Double reveals that the Grammy-winning rapper is in the midst of a “protracted renegotiation” with her label Atlantic Records. As a result, her new project has been delayed.
Although the reasons why the deal is still held up is quite unknown, however, HITS says that it could be more than money involved.
Meanwhile, the Bartier Cardi rapper had not released any solo music since her single “Press” in May 2019. Times with number, Cardi B has teased fans of her new project, a follow-up to 2018’s record-breaking album, “Invasion of Privacy.”
Again, she has been giving mixed updates following the delays of her work. Earlier this year, she shared a couple of snippets of new music, which included a Wheezy-produced track. Most recently, in March, she explained that her single was being put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I can never put a date on it ’cause when you feel that you got those songs, that’s when it’s gonna come out,” Cardi B had told Baller Alert back in February. “I cannot put a date on my ears. When I feel like I have it, that’s when.”
While celebrating Mother’s day on Sunday with her husband Offset and daughter Kulture, she received bunches of gifts from her love Offset that includes boxes of roses and Birkin bags.
